Maken Tosch wrote:You want to boycott higher prices? Go right ahead. CCP, just like every business out there, has every right to set the prices however they like. At the very least be happy they don't force you to pay the amount you wanted to pay. Besides, no one is putting a gun to your head. True dat. a passive booster is $14 for 360,000 SP. An omega booster is $32.50 for 720,000 SP. That extra 360,000 SP is costing you $18.50 or 32% more per skill point. But it's SP that you can't get any other way.

That is $26 in lost revenue for the game for just me I know there are many more out there not buying due to ridiculous pricing. $32/month subcription for a beta game FML
How much did you spend on other games?
What other games did you get with your psn $$$ that was ment for Dust?
I will prob buy another indie game or 2 today Final protest will be spending the day tomorrow playing gta 5 and not logging on my character that has been logged on everyday since the new patch ... actually hes logged on every day for the last 90+ days bought a a merc pack, elite pack and logged on for the last 90+ days but who's counting.
Your Move CCP. The game is Free to play dude..... its 0 dollars a month. Nobody is requiring that you buy the passive booster. I did simply because I want to catch back up to my competition as fast as possible, and that's why the price is what it is. It costs 28K to buy a normal 30 day booster. The Omega booster is twice as good as the normal booster so as a minimum the Omega booster should be worth 56K. CCP charges 65K because of the convenience of getting that SP twice as fast as anyone else. Simple as that. Im not saying its "right" but I don't think people should be so up in arms about this stuff....... Civil Complacency may be bread into you Sir but not I .... I have bought items in the past as I want the game to succeed but I will not be gouged for wanting to support growth and development ... lower prices or loose optional funding this is the hurdle ccp stands before Price gouged? CCP is creating a market with multiple tiers of buy-in. It's like saying no bottle of wine is allowed to cost more than $9.99 at the grocery store. No one is being hurt by the new prices; on the contrary - it is giving people who didn't have anything else to spend money on in this game something to spend money on.
There are literally people who have bought multiple merc packs, own every BPO in the game, own all of the BPO std suits, and bought a vet and dren pack and have a year's worth of boosters in the queue. Why would CCP NOT put in expensive items that reward those willing to pay more? |

The content imput rate does not warrant a premium subscription fee for a beta quality game and if we bite at these prices they will only increase ...your sinking your own ship when the player base comes to the same realization as most of the player base has about pricing ... just because there not vocal on the forums does not mean its not a consensus These boosters are targeted at people willing to pay $32 for a month of Omega passive boost, and I assure you those people are out there. If there are not, CCP will reduce the price in accordance with their revenue goals. Your happiness has nothing to do with it... So no, you are NOT one of the people I was talking about... |

It being "vital" is a matter of opinion I suppose based on your desire to maximize your character progression - which CCP has now stated costs X. In this merc's opinion looking forward from 25mil+ SP with months to a year of AFKness in the near future... the extra 360,000/mo is NOT vital lol. |
